Using the technique of making traditional gold brocade, by cutting gold leaf-applied paper into thin strips and weaving patterns with the threads, Hobonichi created a simple planner cover. This pattern, which looks like a stone wall, is called "Ishigakimon" or "Kagome-mon." This fabric is designed to be used for kimonos and obi belts.
