The story of Shorty: 
Originally founded by a mechanical engineer, Gerhard Wörter in 1965 in Baden Baden, Germany, Wörter made Shorty mechanical pencils with an endless passion and care all along. Mr. Wörter as the engineer, designed and built specific production machines. This home made innovation gave Wörter a technical advantage, letting him produce unique items. Shorty is a compact and strong mechanical pencil, known for its minimalist and ergonomic design. After the Baden Baden factory closed down, Shorty production was moved to Milan thanks to Markin srl, with the same passion, the same handcraft and the same (upgraded) machines designed by Gherard Wörter.
